Blackboard Mobile Learn Resources for Mobile-Friendly Courses

Blackboard Mobile Learn AppFaculty who are interested in developing course content that is accessible on mobile devices are encouraged to review Blackboard Mobile Learn’s 4-part guide:

  1. Getting Started with Mobile Learning
  2. Designing Course Content
  3. Mobile Learn Tools
  4. Quick Reference Tips
Please see the Blackboard Mobile Learn Version 4.0 Feature Guide to learn more about the tools and features available to students. Additional information and support is available at the Blackboard Mobile Resource Website.  Students and faculty who use the Blackboard Mobile app are also encouraged to follow @BbMobileSupport on Twitter for live support and announcements.

Please Note

  • Mobile Learn is best used by students as a platform for consuming educational content, for reviewing grade information, and for  participating in communications-based activities (ie. discussion boards, journals, and blogs).
  • Not all features of the web version of Blackboard Learn  will be available in the Blackboard Mobile Learn app or when using a mobile browser because mobile devices lack support for Java and Flash content.  Content or tools may seem different and appear in a more simplified format when accessed on a mobile device.
  • A mobile device should not be considered as a substitute for a laptop.  Students will  still need access to a standard PC and supported web browser for most activities and assessments. Please refer to the minimal technical requirements guide for more information.
